I don’t get where people get the idea that they don’t fall in love with each other, they are 100% in love with each other it just doesn’t need to be said or shown. Not to mention Mako is literally fangirling over Raleigh half the time and after the drift Raleigh would know 100% and I fail to see how you wouldn’t get deeply intimate/reliant on each other after going through some so deeply intimate as being in each others minds.

Even though the whole concept of making giant punching robots to fight giant monsters makes absolutely no practical sense, any other solution would have led to the extinction of humanity since no other solution would be able to attack the breach directly through resistance.

No kisses, not even a "I love you", Pacific Rim was paying homage to the Japanese film till the end I see, because most Japanese romances won't include those, and that's also what makes them so much better imo, you can feel the characters' emotion without them saying it or showing it physically, that's why people always say Japanese literatures are about the heart
